Audubon Golf Clubhouse Restaurant Review: Ladies who lunch, power-lunchers and regular golfers populate this airy, contemporary clubhouse. The open, undulating Audubon Park golf course provides a soothing scene when viewed through windowed double doors or from a table on the wraparound porch. Bountiful baskets of shared appetizers and creative salads (try the citrus salmon Caesar) are menu mainstays. We like the tangles of thin, spice-battered onion rings and the grilled shrimp Greek salad in a flatbread bowl. Sandwiches include a fried green tomato BLT. End the meal with an old-timey root beer float. The limited wine list offers familiar choices by the glass and bottle. Golf shirt-attired waiters expect guests to linger, so they graciously refill iced tea glasses all afternoon. After dining, try to score one of the rocking chairs on the aforementioned porch --- a relaxing setting for coffee.
