Auntie Pasto’s Restaurant Review: The long and rambling menu is reasonably priced and the setting is casual; service is friendly and families with kids and large parties are welcomed with open arms. Traditional dishes, and a few on the trendier side, include the seafood stew and cacciuco, rich and thick with clams, mussels and other shellfish and satisfying with lots of crusty bread to soak up every last drop. The garlic steak is a generous portion of NY strip covered with a velvety sauce and the pizza, especially the puttanesca, is a unique offering of anchovies, capers and olives. It you prefer fancy Italian restaurants then you’re better off at one of the fashionable places in Waikiki, however, if it’s a bustling eatery full of fun and satisfying flavors you crave, this is the spot.
