Don't expect charred, minimalistic artisan pizza at this popular spot. Crusts are thick and crunchy, and the toppings --- meat, cheese, vegetables and savories --- are all generous. Customize your pizza by choosing from more than 30 items ranging from artichoke hearts to zucchini, an option also applying to the salads. A dozen pies are named after a quirky assortment of celebrities and cultural icons: for example, the "Lucy I'm Home" special features spicy beef, green chilies and chipotle sauce. The Edward Abbey pesto pie and the barbecued chicken are also favorites. Whole pizzas range in size from mini to huge, but the best deal is to buy a slice (nearly the size of a dinner plate) christened with tomato sauce, pesto, or simply olive oil and garlic, paired with a side salad. The menu also offers sandwiches and salads. Drinks feature local microbrews on tap. Breakfast choices include three-egg Italian oven omelets (again with 30 topping options), plus waffles, spuds and assorted cereals.
