Bricolage Restaurant Review:

Begun by two kitchen vets from the Slanted Door in San Francisco, this Park Slope restaurant serves up some of the best Vietnamese food in the city. Just don’t expect salt-of-the-earth authenticity. The somewhat elevated dishes do not necessarily stick to the canon of Vietnamese cuisine, but that’s okay --- particularly when they taste this good. An order of tender tamarind-marinated pork ribs is a study in balanced flavors. And the banh xeo, a succulent shrimp-filled crêpe, might take you back to Saigon. Scallops are cooked in miso butter and garlic, and the sriracha-laced chicken wings are good enough to warrant a second round. The wine list is short but nicely curated and there’s a handful of inventive house cocktails.
