Café Express, the fast-casual concept from Houston chef Robert Del Grande, is all about fresh ingredients and quick counter service. There are plenty of big salads to tuck into, like the shrimp and avocado, plus turkey burgers topped with Swiss and served with crispy fries, or fettuccine with a robust tomato-sausage sauce. Made-from-scratch soups are very good when you're hungry and in a hurry. Most locations have stylish, sunny patios and comfortable bars with a choice of wines by the glass and specialty coffee drinks.
