This most unexpected find way out in the exurbs is a slice of Latino heaven, with an authentic although diminutive Cuban menu that offers fried plantains, yucca frites, a killer Cuban sandwich, and palomilla steak with sides. You can also get freshly baked Cuban bread and if you are up early, you can start the day with an eye-opening papas rellenas, or beef-stuffed potato. It’s all very avant-garde and hang-loose, and the food is both economical and satisfying.
