About the restaurant: Strictly traditional Mexican shared plates excel at this offering from the team behind Uno Dos Tacos, Lolinda and El Techo. From diners' first glimpse of mid-century concrete screenblock walls, a playful dedication to the authentic is most evident in a menu stacked with simple, cohesive dishes.

Food & Drinks: Worth the trip are the sopes, lightly fried masa dumplings with black bean, gem lettuce, red onion, queso fresco and avocado. The ever-so-lightly fried fish tacos with cabbage slaw and chipotle aïoli hasten our return. Heavier fare is marked by mole negro poblano and delightful citrus-roasted pork shoulder carnitas whose crispy tips betray their orange marinade. Crunchy churros with caramel sauce make for a lighthearted close to a serious Mexican meal. Craft margaritas are accompanied by inspired mezcal- and tequila-driven cocktails. Look for Mexican-inspired brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
