THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Goldfish Restaurant Review:
Although Goldfish offers mostly seafood, and has a seafood-themed décor, there are plenty of other options including steaks, chops, chicken and vegetarian dishes as well. Full-service sushi includes competently prepared nigiri and other classics of the repertoire along with the trendy, sometimes slightly overdone, chef specials. Better dishes include Chilean sea bass steamed with ginger, spinach, black sesame seed-topped sticky rice and sherry-soy broth. Shrimp and grits with andouille sausage blend the flavors of the low country with a bit of Louisiana. Check out budget-conscious choices, which may include a three small-plate option for $15 at lunch and dinner, and half price steaks and $5 fish (on specific selections) when dining between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Approximately 100 wines are offered, with some choices available by the glass; most are fairly pedestrian. The Captain's Wine List features the high-end wines. To avoid the noise level, vie for a table on the patio. The private room in the wine cellar provides some peace and quiet, although that’s where the reserve wines are kept, so your party may find itself invaded by staffers filling orders.
