La Locanda Restaurant Review:
A longtime fixture on the Seattle restaurant scene, Luciano Bardinelli is behind San Luis Obispo’s La Locanda (“The Inn”), where he artfully presents his authentic Northern Italian cuisine. The regular menu includes classics such as rustic minestrone, tagliatelle with Bolognese sauce and chicken Parmigiana, but Bardinelli also offers several daily specials that might range from tripe stew to eggplant lasagna to duck a l’orange. For dessert, tuck into traditional tiramisu or panna cotta, or go for a seasonal fresh fruit tart. The wine list has predominantly Italian labels --- a bit of a treat in an area that usually serves only local wines. This cozy spot has just 10 white linen-topped tables, so reservations are a good idea.
