There’s nothing fancy about this throwback diner --- you get big portions of old-fashioned, no-frills, stick-to-your-ribs comfort food. Think chicken-fried steak, biscuits and gravy, even liver and onions. However, that retro approach also includes touches such as hand-formed burgers, from-scratch chili, and ice cream shakes made to order. Breakfast is served until late afternoon; lunch is available all day. Also located at 1135 24th St., Paso Robles, 805-238-4305.
