THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Moore's Stone Crab Restaurant Restaurant Review:
Opened in 1967, Moore's features seafood and specializes in stone crabs, when in season. (Indeed, the family-run spot offers door-to-door shipping of stone crabs.) The waterfront view enhances the seafood-skewed menu, and this restaurant has proven consistently popular with a faithful cadre of locals and repeat tourists. Appetizers are somewhat standard, from stone crab rolls to shrimp cocktail to fried calamari. The choice of entrées is almost completely seafood-oriented except for Sea/Cow which pairs broiled lobster with a six-ounce tenderloin brochette. In fact, one of the most popular options is Moore's Imperial Platter which crowds a plate with broiled lobster along with an abundance of fish fingers, shrimp, oysters and scallops. Other fish choices include pompano, snapper, salmon and grouper, prepared in a variety of styles from grilled to blackened. When available, the menu also offers catfish, flounder, swordfish, tuna and mahi mahi.
