Morio's Sushi Bistro Restaurant Review:

Owner/chef Morio Arime moved from a hole in the wall in Waikiki to a more accessible spot in metro Honolulu with ample parking, making his sushi restaurant a hit with a larger audience than his former cult following. Reservations should be made months in advance, especially for the popular and reasonably priced omakase menu. Sashimi and sushi plates are made with the freshest fish and assorted seafood available. If you're ordering à la carte, cooked items like ahi shoulder, garlic chicken, and assorted tempura can round out the meal. One of Arime's signature nigiri is the unagi with shredded yamaimo (Japanese mountain yam). You have to pop the whole thing in your mouth, which can be very indelicate, but that way you get layers of unique flavors and textures. Note that no dessert is served, and the place is BYOB. Arime is boisterous and gregarious, which makes dining a fun as well as tasty experience.
