THE CLOSING OF THIS RESTAURANT SURPRISED US. THE SO-SO PERFORMANCE BY THE OPENING CHEF MAY HAVE KILLED THE REPUTATION FROM THE START. IT'S DIFFICULT THESE DAYS TO RECOVER FROM A BAD START, EVEN IF THE RESTAURANT AND LOCATION ARE BEAUTIFUL. The chef who had put Nikita on the wrong culinary side has left and has been replaced by a young and talented one. Salvatore Sodano, who hails directly from Italy, took on the difficult task of reinventing the restaurant. After the meal we’ve experienced, there is no doubt that he is on the right path. Sommelier Renée-Nicole Kubin (Gary Danko) is in charge of an impressive wine list.
