Tavolàta Restaurant Review:

Tavolàta in Belltown takes its name from the massive 30-foot communal table in the middle of the room, which is a hotspot for big groups or meeting the neighbors. But if you aren’t a fan of this concept, hold out for a romantic booth or one of the small tables tucked around the room’s edges. The daily changing menu features rustic Italian cuisine ranging from a handful of first courses to a dozen pastas and three mozzarella, tomato and Reggiano cheese dishes. Rigatoni is tossed with spicy Italian sausage, marjoram and tomato. Mains highlight grilled steak with creamy polenta, and seared scallops with eggplant caponata. For a sweet ending, we recommend the lemon-scented donut holes, each morsel crispy and dusted with sugar. To complement any selection, there's a reasonably priced, all-Italian wine list.
