Wishbone Restaurant Review:

When we have a craving for Southern cooking (and Cajun-Creole), Wishbone is the place to go. Mind you, it's also one of Chicago's best values. We favor the chicken etouffée, jambalaya with shrimp, pan-fried chicken, blackened catfish and, well, all the rest. Side dishes are first-rate --- collard greens, mashed rutabaga, okra and tomatoes, to mention a few. At lunch, you can check out the cafeteria line, which bursts with good choices, or you can grab a table in the dining room. The environs are as laid-back as the food, so don't dress up. Brunch at the Washington Street location attracts throngs of people. It's also a good place to eat before a game at the United Center. Also located at 3300 N. Lincoln Ave., 773-549-2663.
