Although there are several Japanese restaurants serving Wood River Valley residents, this one stands out. With modern aesthetics, warm chocolate walls, welcoming blonde furnishings, and chic-elegant lighting, the sophisticated setting is ideal for the smartly presented, quality sushi. Fresh fish flown in from Hawaii throughout the week makes the difference. For starters, try the crispy duck spring rolls and tender baked scallops in tobiko aïoli sauce. The menu also includes other contemporary fare, so consider the spicy teriyaki or tofu bowl, the miso-glazed salmon, or the togarashi-encrusted Niman Ranch steak with wasabi mashers, garlic broccoli florets and bell peppers topped with crispy onions. Head sushi chef Derek Holliday is the creative force behind the Japanese Euro-fusion food that's complemented by libations from a full bar.
