Ba-Le Sandwich Shop Restaurant Review: This Vietnamese-style sandwich shop has prospered and multiplied throughout Oahu. A great place for a light lunch or snack, Ba-Le serves selections like pâté on its famous crunchy-outside-soft-inside French rolls, and shrimp-filled summer rolls. The Vietnamese iced coffee, strong espresso with a big splash of sweetened condensed milk, is one of the best in the islands. Every location is spic-and-span with a big display case tempting customers with desserts like coconut tapioca. Service is efficient and friendly. A meal for two, with beverage, runs about $14. You have to duck into an alley way for this one. Other locations. |
