THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ba-Le Sandwich Shop Restaurant Review:
Despite the name, sandwiches are no longer on the menu. But the other dishes that make Ba-Le worth a stop remain. Pho, an exotically fragrant beef broth noodle soup, is the specialty here, offered with chicken, shrimp, vegetables and tofu, steak or beef brisket. Vermicelli (long rice noodle) bowls with various grilled meats are another good choice. Rice plates, with steamed veggies and choice of grilled meats or tofu, round out the menu. Fresh fruit smoothies and both hot and iced Vietnamese condensed milk coffee are served. If they have tapioca pudding, order it for a satisfying conclusion to any meal. Ba-Le has excellent food, low prices and it's clean and easy to find. You can take out or eat in the small dining room. The décor is too brightly lit and artificial to be cozy or inviting, but with an updated look, Ba-Le could shine.
