THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bacca Restaurant Review:

Owner Todd Russell believed that parents would appreciate a place where the kids could play happily while they dined on fresh seasonal cuisine. A game room next to the dining area entertains the kids, giving the adults a better chance for a leisurely meal. There's plenty to linger over. Chef Robin Bashinsky (formerly of daniel george and Hot & Hot Fish Club) serves up some of the best soups and pizzas around. Quiche is lighter and puffier than most. Entrées are an uptown version of comfort food, including lasagna, roast chicken and pork. A pan-seared flank steak is served with garlic-scented spinach, seared polenta cake and toasted pepper salsa. Vegetarians will find ample choices as well---vegetarian lasagna, a Mediterranean veggie sandwich, a fresh veggie plate and appealing salads. There's an Herbivore pizza as well as a Carnivore for meat-lovers. Dessert temptations include tarts, creamy tiramisu and a Bacca ice cream sandwich (Blue Bell ice cream between homemade chocolate chip cookies). The well-chosen wine list is sold at retail prices with a flat $10 fee for opening a bottle in the restaurant.
