Chances are you’ve noticed the understated vintage sign out front that reads Bar, and wondered why you have never noticed that cool old place that looks as though it has been on Giralda forever. If you have ventured inside, you are probably on a first-name basis with the staff and are a loyal regular already. If you haven’t, casually drop in sometime for a microbrew and some snacks. Owned by the proprietors of South Beach’s Abbey Tavern and Purdy Lounge, it’s complete with moody lighting and music, dominoes and darts. Chicken sandwiches, burgers, cheese steaks and wings are staple bar items that are not bad meals at all when paired with a rich and smooth stout---especially if you’re looking for an after-midnight bite in early-to-bed, early-to-rise Coral Gables.
