 Bar Lola Restaurant Review: Bar Lola's funky, artsy vibe has a charm many of the more touristed restaurants in the town center lack, making it one of the gems of Munjoy Hill. Little dishes accumulate throughout the meal from a menu comprised of reasonably priced small, medium and large “bites” that encourage diners to linger and share. A four-course prix-fixe is available, or let the chef prepare a more extensive menu, both reasonably priced. Try dishes like roasted olives with a tangy citrus twist and warm, pudding-thick polenta with sweet caramelized onions. Larger plates include confit of rabbit leg with roasted sunchokes, or sample the Cavendish Farm quail with mole and stone ground grits. Finish with steamed lemon pudding with an Urban Moonshine bitters syrup and a final glass from the wine list, which offers more good choices under $35 than just about any spot in town. |
