The Barbeque Joint Restaurant Review: The Barbeque Joint serves up standard South Carolina 'cue in a no-frills location near Park Circle. Pulled pork or chicken are the menu mainstays, accompanied by the usual sides and such vegetables as collard greens. Daily specials add interest, with offerings like brisket on Thursday and fried fish on Friday. The salad is a lighter option. For dessert, check out “Dirt,” which blends Oreo cookie pieces with chocolate pudding. Beer and wine are available among quaffs, but don’t look for boutique selections. Down-home seating is replete with picnic tables and checkered tablecloths; the atmosphere is friendly and service is quick. |
