| Named for the owner’s childhood sheepdog, the original Barnaby’s on Fairview is a local favorite, serving up whimsical doggie décor along with some of the biggest and freshest salads in town---so big, in fact, that you can order half portions. But if you’re really hungry, Barnaby’s offers plenty of comfort food like burgers---the bacon and blue cheese is a winning combo---along with some very good crispy hand-cut fries, Doctor Gale’s meatloaf and Chinese chicken. Even if you’re just dropping by for a traditional American breakfast, you don’t want to pass up the warm and gooey chocolate chip cookie. Service is spot on, making the only drawback the tight parking when the place is crowded. |
