 The Bee's Knees Tapas Restaurant & Lounge Restaurant Review: Just off Broad Street and steps from the Savannah River lies this casual and friendly café. The Bee's Knees Tapas Restaurant & Lounge encompasses an outdoor patio, two dining rooms and a bar area with design elements like a pressed tin ceiling and brick walls covered with artwork. The globetrotting selection of tapas ranges from sesame sashimi tartare to crab cakes to tortilla española (a Spanish-style omelet with potatoes and onions). Entrées (or “Big Tapas” as they are called) sway more towards Asia with options like pad thai with a choice of tofu, chicken or shrimp. Also on offer are well-priced wines and an ever-changing roster of American craft beers. Be sure to check the blackboard for new dishes and specials such as $5 glasses/$18 carafes of sangria on Fridays. Service is fast and efficient. |
