Bella Luna Restaurant Review: Owner Harry Stephens frequently walks from table to table to greet his customers and offer a little Italian hospitality. He's also a wine connoisseur who personally selects the vinos and wine flights. For the money, Bella Luna's pastas and sauces are decent, and the approachability level is high. The menu is reinvented every six weeks, focusing on one region of Italy to showcase the seasonal ingredients and techniques of that area. Start with something bold, like the fresh whole anchovies marinated in Meyer lemon juice, or go for the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus. There's comfort food like simple mashed potatoes and prime rib cannelloni with ricotta, Italian herbs and house-made sauce. The bread pudding is so good you can order it by the pan. Come on a Wednesday and enjoy a half-price bottle of wine.
