Big City Diner Restaurant Review: There’s something for everyone at Big City Diner. The menu is full of tasty local eats. For breakfast, you can’t beat the roasted macadamia nut pancakes with a haupia cream sauce, or Grandma's kimchi fried rice topped with eggs your way. The latter is perhaps only for the initiated, but we like the tang of spicy Korean preserved cabbage paired with eggs. For lunch or dinner, try the catch of the day, pan-seared and glazed with a ginger-lime chili butter sauce. Another favorite is the epic loco moco, a burger patty served over hot rice, topped with two eggs, and smothered in brown gravy and caramelized onions. This is Hawaiian comfort food at its best.
