Big Sky Cafe Restaurant Review: This vibrant downtown café serves up eclectic comfort food created with local ingredients. International inspirations range from vegetable tagine to banh mi sandwiches and Thai catfish with sushi rice balls, while popular stateside dishes include crispy buttermilk-fried chicken salad, gumbo, and lobster mac ‘n’ cheese. Vegetarian entrées abound, with favorites as simple as an organic farmers market plate or as hearty as roasted eggplant and three-cheese lasagna. At breakfast, we typically opt for the turkey hash or pozole with an egg on top, but it’s always a toss-up between the freshly baked cornbread muffins and the buttermilk-ginger coffee cake. For dessert, try one of the seasonal offerings or the sourdough bread pudding. Central Coast wines have always been a hallmark of Big Sky, and bottled beer is also available.
