| This spot in the tony Woodmark Hotel metamorphosed from the former bin vivant with more expansive vistas and an easily accessible food concept. The lake panorama unfurls from almost every table in the lively room. A menu of small plates, large plates and upscale bar cuisine by chef Scott Lents offers seasonal selections prepared with Northwest ingredients. Menu hits have included tangy baby-back ribs and “Scallops P.L.T,” which translates to a slider with a grilled scallop, prosciutto and Bibb lettuce on a mini brioche bun. We also suggest the airy Yukon potato gnocchi with mushrooms and truffle Pecorino. Skip the warm goat cheese dip served with a charmless tomato sauce. For entrées, whipped sweet potatoes and sage brown butter complement Idaho trout, and the juicy burger is adorned with caramelized onions. End with intense chocolate caramel mousse with a glass of port in the cozy fireside lounge. Thanks to a wine preservation system, there are 80 by-the-glass pours and a top-notch selection of flights. The knowledgeable staff will assist you in choosing pairings or a bottle from the extensive wine list. |
