 Bistro Laurent Restaurant Review: Bistro Laurent is a destination restaurant for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion or just revel in classical French cuisine. Perennial favorites include a cold tomato and cucumber soup, the smoked salmon tart with house-made crème fraîche, and the beef filet with silky black peppercorn sauce (paired with a local Syrah or French Rhone blend). If you’re looking for a spot-on food and wine pairing experience, go for the tasting menus that feature courses such as lobster bisque, roasted duck breast with cassoulet, and pan-roasted wild king salmon. For dessert, we suggest the seasonal house-made sorbets, but puff pastry dishes --- made with caramelized apples and crème fraîche, for example --- are always tempting. Not surprisingly, the extensive wine list celebrates both local and international labels, with many available by the glass, and everything on the list and more can be found in Bistro Laurent’s wine shop next door. |
