| Tucked away in a shopping strip along Memorial Drive, this casual café, with its cheerful yellow-and-blue country décor, offers a true bistro experience. You’ll start with a fragrant, warm-from-the-wood-burning-oven basket of fougasse, a pretzel-shaped bread of Provence, which is enhanced with the spreadable tapenade. Good bets: the house pâté; the stuffed green-lip New Zealand mussels; a sturdy beef stew; a delectable Cornish hen; and a traditional rabbit with prunes. The small selection of French wines complements the menu but bottles sometimes miss the mark. |
