THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bistro West Restaurant Review:

This modern bistro with seasonal California fare and an almost Jetsons-like décor is one of several upscale independent restaurants at Tustin's The District shopping and entertainment center. The colorful, over-the-top lighting, thankfully, is offset by warms woods, soft turquoise accents and gold tones. Cocktails are strong and house-made, so don't miss a cucumber-tini or bubbling Kir Royale. The hit-or-miss menu has some low points (ahi carpaccio, steak pomodoro, classic lasagna) and some high ones too (innovative Maine lobster salad, juicy burgers, light-as-air chicken basil gnocchi with pesto cream sauce, beef stroganoff, fall-apart braised short ribs). The not-to-miss chocolate trio can be shared with the table and features a decadent and addictive chocolate cake, chocolate mousse and chocolate truffles. Bistro West focuses on wines, and there's a good list of mostly Napa Valley and Sonoma County varietals.
