Blackfin Bistro Restaurant Review

: Though on a busy corner of Duval Street, this place has all the characteristics of a cool neighborhood restaurant --- the kind where, if you lived nearby, you’d make your home-away-from-home joint. It offers just the right mix of comfort foods, like pasta carbonara, a satisfying burger, and a strip steak au poivre, but also fresh seafood specialties, including what might well be the best tuna on the island (grilled yellowfin with ginger and sweet soy emulsion). Mirrors and intimate tables hark back to classic bistros, but the polished wood, blue lighting, and garden patio out back situate it squarely in its South Florida, island home. Whether for a light, warm-weather meal of Andalusian gazpacho, shrimp cocktail and lobster salad, or for a dash of decadence with escargots, a smart cheese plate, and local mahi prepared Cuban style and served with black beans, Blackfin Bistro is a pleaser.
