THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Blue Martini Lounge Restaurant Review:
The beautiful, twenty-something crowd at Blue Martini isn’t there for the cuisine. This hip lounge on the upper level of the Mall at Millennia is the place to see and be seen, with a “fashionable attire” dress code that keeps out T-shirts, baseball caps and sneakers. Properly attired, you can sip one of more than 40 martinis, such as the Cucumber with Hendrick’s Gin, simple syrup and fresh cucumbers; or the Key lime pie with vanilla vodka, Key lime liqueur, Midori and a splash of cream. Purists can ask for a dirty martini, the only traditional drink on the menu. Bands perform nightly in the stage room on a raised platform behind the main bar, but for quiet conversation you can slip into the back bar or outdoor terrace. Food is predictable but good --- spinach dip, hummus, flatbread, beef tenderloin, and a simple chicken sandwich. A caveat: Smoking is permitted both on the terrace and inside (an extractor keeps the air somewhat stink-free).
