Blue Mesa Grill Restaurant Review: Singles race to Blue Mesa for happy hour, where the signature blue margaritas and complimentary quesadillas are what generally inspire the most happiness. It’s a loud, bustling scene, especially when the restaurant decides to lay on a free taco bar and free samples of tequila. Sunday brunch is another bargain, featuring an enormous buffet of Southwestern goodies and unlimited champagne and mimosas. The food is not overly spicy, and there are plenty of choices like waffles and fresh fruit for the chile-shy. We are partial to the tortilla soup, loaded with chicken, tomatoes, cheese, and smoked chiles, and we can never resist the chunky guacamole, made to order at your table. The mesquite-grilled chicken soft tacos are flawless, as are the sizzling steak fajitas. The only disappointments have been with the combination plates, which taste like they had a lengthy siesta under a heat lamp. |
