Without the luscious aromas or easy charm of most barbecue places, this corner site faces stiff competition. The half rack of ribs is not very meaty and without some of the smoky flavors we love; there’s also a smoked sausage sandwich, and a BBQ stuffed “tater”---an overloaded potato skin packed with butter, sour cream, cheese and a scoop of your choice of brisket, pork or chicken. Sides include Texas beans, hush puppies, fries, applesauce, and “Grannies” coleslaw.
