THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Known more as a nightlife spot for Cal State Fullerton college students, Bobby McGee’s is much more. Located across the street from The Brea Mall for three decades, the restaurant has an eclectic following. Mall employees and locals don’t mind hanging out here during the day and early evening for better-than-average pub appetizers, solid American food and stiff drinks. The place also bills itself as the place to go for a special occasion with its over-the-top themed servers such as Elvis impersonators. The restaurant turns into Bobby McGee’s Nightclub around 9 p.m. with different acts and DJs almost any night of the week. The 50 percent off happy hours on Wed.-Fri. from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. attracts singles, couples and rather rowdy college guys and girls.
