Brendan's Irish Pub & Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Named for Irish proprietor Brendan Searls, this namesake restaurant in Camarillo introduced “pub culture” to the sleepy suburb. In that respect, the establishment has been relatively successful. Brendan’s is more than a watering hole; the clientele represents a cross section of Camarillo --- folks young and old mix with mingling singles and serious drinkers. Serious diners, however, are advised to stick to bar snacks. The menu blends traditional pub grub like corned beef and cabbage, shepherd's pie, and bangers and mash with American standards including Cobb salad, fried chicken and burgers. While the steak and Guinness stew may sound tempting, you’re better off with a creamy pint of straight Guinness. The interior is adorned with bric-a-brac that Searls and his partners collected in the Old Country. Unfortunately, the food falls short of the charming setting.
