Brennan's Colony Restaurant Review: Don’t let the shady exterior and well-worn bar deceive you. Brennan's Colony is a restaurant first, a bar second---despite the large U-shaped fixture that dominates the main room. It serves up a thoughtful, inexpensive mix of eclectic meals, ranging from homemade soups and chili to nachos, burgers and a roasted portobello ciabatta sandwich topped with caramelized onions, crumbly blue cheese, baby spinach and balsamic aïoli. Brennan’s welcomes casual diners, young professionals, film buffs, yoga enthusiasts and even the local softball team looking for some post-game brew. Entrées change nightly but may include rainbow trout piccata, asparagus and spinach polenta or hearty meatloaf served with mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy.
