 Buckeye Roadhouse Restaurant Review: The Buckeye Roadhouse's American comfort food has been warming the bellies of locals and tourists since the 1930s, but these days the cuisine takes a modern bent. Many ingredients are local, and certain menu items change seasonally. Indulge in braised short ribs with horseradish-infused mashed potatoes, roasted chicken, warm spinach salad and huge burgers served on house-made buns. Don’t miss Marin's most delicate onion strings or Oysters Bingo, the Buckeye’s plush, indulgent one-upmanship on Oysters Rockefeller, and try the cool, tangy lemon pudding cake dessert. The full bar is one of the best in the county. The "roadhouse" looks more like a hunting lodge inside with huge windows looking out onto green wilderness, stuffed animal trophies, a vaulted ceiling and a massive stone fireplace. |
