Cadillac Lounge Restaurant Review: This is one of the original hubs in the heart of the now-happening Parkdale area of the city. The neighborhood vibe is suited for gathering with friends, and the restaurant’s memorabilia from the ’50s and ’60s makes it a tourist’s delight. Meanwhile, the kitchen serves up house-smoked meats like beef brisket, pulled pork and chicken while staying true to retro classics, such as burgers garnished with all the fixings. For lighter fare, try the Caesar salad with house-smoked bacon crisps, or the kale salad tossed in a mango-ginger dressing. Vegetarians have a good option in the portobello mushroom burger with smoked Gouda, avocado and roasted red pepper. Many come to just lounge at the horseshoe-shaped bar or on the massive backyard patio, and experience the various musical acts specializing in rockabilly, bluegrass and more. Either way, get ready to peruse the selection of brews, cocktails and shots. Two floor-to-ceiling screens and ten TVs are available for sports viewing.
