| Adrian Tonon, son of founders Rina and the late Adriano Tonon, took over this well-established family restaurant after the death of his father. It has carried on seamlessly with a menu of Veneto-inspired dishes that are served in a romantic setting. The restaurant grows its own vegetables, including tomatoes, rapini, eggplant, peppers and zucchini---as well as herbs---in its garden during the summer. But it is a destination any time of year thanks to its solid veal and pasta dishes. The table by the fireplace is particularly sought-after, so snag it when you can. Expect dishes like sautéed scampi with fresh tomatoes and extra-fine spaghetti, veal Cortina with grilled eggplant, prosciutto and mozzarella, gnocchi, and lobster linguine. And what could be better than zabaglione for dessert? |
