Café Flora’s vegetarian cuisine satisfies carnivores and herbivores alike, and there’s a sizable selection of vegan and gluten-free dishes, too. The creative menu focuses on local, organic and sustainable produce. An enclosed atrium --- complete with a greenhouse-style patio with lush vegetation surrounding a bubbling stone fountain --- lets Seattle-ites enjoy summer year-round. Favorites include hearty grilled portobello mushrooms, leeks and mushroom-pecan pâté in puff pastry with a Madeira wine sauce, house-made ricotta gnocchi, and a brightly flavored heirloom tomato and sweet corn pizza. Northwest wines complement the cooking. Finish with crème brûlée or a refreshing seasonal fruit crisp.
