The Cafe at the Frick Restaurant Review: Located on the grounds of Clayton, the Frick family estate in Point Breeze, the intimate Café offers elegant soups, stylish salads and sandwiches, desserts and proper afternoon tea. The menu of meticulously seasonal cuisine, with much of the produce grown on premises or at nearby farms, changes frequently. All is house-made. The kitchen creates lively dishes such as mushroom mocha soup; avocado cumin-roasted chicken salad with aïoli; and asparagus salad, with pecorino, smoked almonds, crispy poached egg and sherry vinaigrette. Sip a glass of boutique label wine --- the liquor license is only for wine and beer --- then stroll the grounds, visit the art museum, the car and carriage museum or book a tour of the restored Victorian home. Watch for occasional special dinners.
