Cafe St. Petersburg Restaurant Review

: Live piano music, a homemade-vodka bar, tuxedoed waiters and Russian flair distinguish Café St. Petersburg. Well-heeled Newton residents are all smiles as they dig into some of the heartiest meals in the Boston area offered at reasonable prices. Start with meat or potato blintzes or classic borscht, moving on to signature blini with smoked salmon and caviar and the deep-fried chicken Kiev filled with herbs and butter. Beef stroganoff, chicken schnitzel with white wine, and cabbage stuffed with rice, carrots and, unexpectedly, dried fruits are available, too. Round out the experience with a sampling of sweet cheese blintzes paired with a shot of cranberry vodka.
