Owner Antonio Ruggieri, also chef and owner of Rustico in Sausalito, offers generous portions of Italian food at reasonable prices. Sweetbreads are tender and properly spongy, served in a flaky puff pastry crust and a sherry-mushroom cream sauce. Chicken suprema Bolognese features pieces of chicken breast pounded until thin and tender and draped with even thinner slices of prosciutto and provolone cheese. House-made cannoli and zabaglione are great for dessert, and the wine list has some nice Italian and California varietals with more than 20 available by the glass. The service is innocuous and a bit uneven but is fine for the casual setting.
