Campbell's Bar-B-Q Restaurant Review: The Campbells no longer own Campbell's Bar-B-Q, but the current owners have continued the original wood-smoked Texas tradition. Meat choices range from smoked turkey to beef, pork ribs, elk, venison and tender, low-fat organic buffalo brisket. Turkey is actually one of the best choices. The heat level --- as in seasoning --- is calibrated as requested, with four sauces, from smoky brown sugar to fiery hot. Sides are traditional, such as beans, black-eyed peas, mac ‘n’ cheese and yams, but do not measure up to the carnivorous offerings. Don't let the basic trappings deter you: paper napkins, plastic glasses, and only beer and wine. This place is all about the mighty good barbecue, not the décor. Grab a spot on the outdoor patio during warm weather months and dig in.
