THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Campiello Restaurant Review:
The Uptown branch of this D'Amico restaurant continues to offer crispy thin-crust pizzas from an oak-fired oven, spit-roasted chicken, and a view of the chef's aplomb as he calmly but energetically finishes one of the entrées, such as the grilled pork tenderloin with pear compote and Gorgonzola with side dishes like pan-fried potatoes. While the upscale area’s hipsters nosh at the bar, young lovers can cross forks seductively over desserts like the warm chocolate soufflé cake or a pear and frangipane tart. An impressive list of martinis, including the restaurant's signature drink that features a splash of balsamic vinegar and Niçoise olives, outshines the offerings on the wine list.
