You won’t go hungry at Canyon Café---the portions are huge. Take the Southwest chicken sandwich for example. This mouth-stretcher contains two large chicken breast halves, as well as grilled portobello mushrooms and cheese, and it’s served on some nicely spicy toasted jalapeño cheddar bread slathered with chipotle mayonnaise, and it’s surrounded by heaps of seasoned fries. Add one of their killer margaritas, and you’re fueled-up for the day, especially if you also snacked on the complimentary poppy seed breadsticks. This is a very creative menu, with things like a Southwestern pot roast, served with creamy chili mashed potatoes, and chipotle mango chicken in a garlic butter sauce, and the quality of the food is high. The menu also lists that Dallas classic, chicken-fried steak, but it also put a spin on it by offering chicken fried tuna. Both are topped with jalapeño cream gravy and are served with those good mashed potatoes.
