| Situated off the lobby of the chic Conrad Indianapolis hotel, The Capital Grille lives up to its surrounds. The sophisticated yet relaxed dining room is adorned with portraits of famous Hoosiers. Meanwhile, the fare is beautifully presented at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The lobster bisque is a must among starters. While the porcini-rubbed Delmonico steak is legendary, The Capital Grille is more than a steakhouse, so it makes sense to savor the grilled swordfish and veal chop topped with Roquefort butter sauce, too. One of the best bargains in town is the $39 three-course, seasonal menu. The asparagus soup, garlicky grilled lamb chops and lemon brûlée is hard to pass by at any price. For lunch, try the appetizer lobster and crab cake combo. Desserts---such as the simple strawberries Romanoff with fresh strawberries, vanilla ice cream and a splash of ruby port and Grand Marnier---ensure a memorable finale. |
