Carson's The Place for Ribs Restaurant Review:

In a city with a burgeoning barbecue scene, this veteran lives on. And while there is no dearth of good rib places in Chicago, few are as well known as Carson's. (This restaurant was formerly located at 612 N. Wells St., Chicago.) The consistently decent, meaty baby-back ribs deliver what you expect. The secret, it seems, is the barbecue sauce, which locks onto those slabs, giving them a look of molten steel. Crunchy coleslaw and au gratin potatoes are fine accompaniments. A gluten-free menu is available. Slabs can be shipped nationwide. There’s also an outpost at 200 N. Waukegan Rd., Deerfield, 847-374-8500.
